Welcome to our comprehensive guide on learning Trigify! In this series, we'll walk you through everything you need to know to get started with this powerful social intelligence platform.

The video below provides an overview of what Trigify offers and how it can transform your lead generation process. Watch this introduction first to understand the platform's core capabilities before diving into our detailed step-by-step tutorials.

This blog series breaks down each feature of Trigify in detail, from setting up your first social signals to building targeted lists and integrating with your existing tools. Whether you're looking to monitor key accounts, track engagement with thought leaders, or discover prospects interested in specific topics, we've got you covered.

Ready to learn Trigify? Let's get started with our first lesson on understanding the dashboard and core features.

Lesson 1 - Introduction to the Platform & Home Page Tour

Hi everyone! In this introductory video, we'll walk you through the essentials of getting started with Trigify, focusing on understanding the dashboard and key features that will help you generate quality leads.

Let us explain the four core features that make Trigify so powerful for lead generation and you marketing efforts:

  1. Social Signals - This feature takes an ABM approach to social data, allowing you to:
    • Upload your current clients or target accounts.
    • Monitor specific signals like role changes and viral posts.
    • Track when prospects engage with competitors.
  2. Social Engagement - This feature helps you track any profiles engagement by:
    • Collecting data from likes and comments on specific profiles.
    • Automatically generating new leads from each post.
    • Building substantial lead lists (we've generated over 100,000 engagements with our previous accounts).
  3. Custom Lists - These specialized lists help you:
    • Build targeted audiences based on specific topics or thought leaders.
    • Start to A/B test how prospects respond in different interest areas.
    • Create focused marketing campaigns.

We want to emphasize that with Trigify, you need to throw out the old concept of "spray and pray" marketing techniques. This platform is all about taking a sniper shot approach - highly targeted and focused on high-intent prospects at a personal level. Many of our users are crushing it with 1-in-3 to 1-in-4 positive reply rates from their campaigns and about 50% positive acceptance rates on platforms like LinkedIn!

Lesson 2 - How to Monitor Accounts Social Activity for ABM

Let's dive right into Social Signals, one of Trigify's most powerful features. You can access this either by adding a new account or through the Setup option in the navbar.

When you first enter, you'll see a brief tutorial from our CEO and founder Max. We highly recommend watching it, as he provides great insights from his extensive sales experience and unique perspective as the company's founder.

Here's how to get started with Social Signals:

  1. Adding Profiles - You have two simple options for adding accounts to monitor:
    • Add individual profiles one by one.
    • Upload a CSV file with social profile URLs (a highly requested feature we're proud to offer).
    • The CSV only needs one column with the LinkedIn profile URLs.
    • Add straight from our Topics or Thought Leaders features.
  2. Setting Up Signal Monitoring - Once you've added profiles, you can configure which signals to track:
    • New and Role changes - This notifies you when someone starts a new position.
    • Viral Posts - Alerts you when someone's post gains significant traction.
    • New Posts - Tracks when they make new posts, with options to filter by keywords.
    • Engaging with Profiles - Monitors when your targets engage with specific people.
    • Engaging with Companies - Tracks engagement with specific company posts.
    • Likes Post - Tracks when they like a post, filterable via keywords.
    • Comments on Post- Tracks when they comment on posts, filterable via keywords.
  3. Customizing Keyword Tracking - For new posts, you can add specific keywords to track:
    • Terms related to your solution or industry.
    • Your company name or variations (like "trigify" or "trigify.io").
    • Competitor mentions or relevant technology terms.
  4. Viewing Results - After setup, your signals will begin tracking (though not instantly):
    • Click on any profile to see a complete overview.
    • View their work experience, contact details, and signal timeline.
    • Filter signals by type (viral posts, role changes, engagements).
    • See who they're engaging with, including your competitors.

We designed Social Signals for a "sniper shot approach" to prospecting. It's particularly useful for monitoring key accounts and tracking social conversations relevant to your business. We're continuously expanding our signal types.

On your dashboard, you'll see analytics showing when signals are happening and which days are most active for your tracked accounts.

Lesson 3 - How to Get Engagement From Social Profiles

Now that we've set up our Social Signals, let's explore the Engagement feature - an exciting and powerful part of the platform.

When you first navigate to the Engagement section, you will be greeted with the Social Engagement setup page. We recommend watching the tutorials where our founder Max shares detailed insights on how to use this feature effectively.

Social Engagement, as mentioned in our first lesson, allows you to track specific profiles and sync their engagements (likes and comments) into actionable data and insights. This is extremely valuable for setting up evergreen and automated campaigns:

  1. Profile Tracking Setup - Getting started with tracking engagement:
    • Your profile should already be connected from onboarding.
    • You don't need a social account to use this feature - your account is 100% safe.
    • Add multiple profiles including thought leaders and companies.
    • We recommend tracking profiles with high engagement (sometimes a CEO's profile has more engagement than the company profile).
    • Set update frequency (most users choose daily) and preferred time.
  2. Understanding the Sync Process - How data collection works:
    • Initial syncs take 24-48 hours to complete fully.
    • First sync collects data from last seven days of posts and will show you older ones to get at your leisure.
    • Continuing from there, new posts are tracked with a 7-day lookback period.
    • Data appears faster if someone has already tracked those accounts.
  3. Viewing and Managing Data - Two main ways to view engagement data:
    • Table View - Shows all leads with details like name, title, company, and contact information.
    • Post View - Displays each tracked post with engagement metrics.
    • Note that total lead count is less than comments+likes combined since people who both comment and like count as one lead.
  4. Enhanced Data Management - Tools to organize and enrich your leads:
    • Select specific profiles or bulk select to perform actions.
    • Access emails and mobile numbers (using your available credits).
    • Apply triggers to track news like funding, product launches, or acquisitions.
    • Use our GPT Enrich or our AI assistant TrigIQ for additional research and data aggregation.
    • Filter your table by titles, seniority, engagement metrics.
  5. Saved Filters - Powerful  lead segmentation:
    • Create customized filters like "Tier One Leads" with specific criteria.
    • Set the filters based on job titles, seniority levels, or other parameters.
    • Quick access to your saved filters for pushing data.
  6. Integration Options - Connect with your existing workflow:
    • Export to tools like Smartlead, La Growth Machine, Heyreach, Clay, and more.
    • Set up webhook functionality for custom integrations.
    • Configure Slack notifications for new leads.

The Engagement feature becomes incredibly powerful once you start tracking 5-10 profiles from highly engaging thought leaders. You can effectively piggyback off their engagement to create targeted outreach campaigns.

Lesson 4 - How to Connect Our Integrations & Webhooks

Now that we've explored Social Signals and Engagement, let's look at the Integrations Trigify offers to help you connect with your existing tools and workflow.

When you navigate to the Integrations section, you'll see a variety of connection options available:

  1. Available Integrations - A comprehensive overview of our connection options:
    • CRM sync - HubSpot, Breakcold.
    • Email marketing tools - Smart Lead, Lemlist, Instantly.
    • Social media automation - HeyReach, La Growth Machine.
    • GTM Tools - Clay.
    • Webhook functionality - For advanced users to connect with tools like n8n or Make.
    • Slack notifications - Connect to open channels to stay updated on new engagements.
  2. Popular Integration: Clay - One of our most widely used connections:
    • To set up, go to Manage Integration and select the engagement section.
    • Enter your Clay webhook URL and connect.
    • Send a test event to verify the connection is working properly.
    • Enable auto-push for automatic data transfer.
    • Note: Auto-push only works for new leads going forward, not existing ones.
    • You must first manually push existing leads to activate auto-push for a profile.
  3. Setting Up Webhooks - For custom integrations:
    • Follow the same process as the Clay integration.
    • Select which data sources to connect (Engagement, Social Signals, etc.).
    • Enter your webhook URL and test the connection.
  4. Email and LinkedIn Automation - Getting quick results:
    • LinkedIn automation tends to be quicker and easier to set up initially.
    • No need to worry about domains and deliverability issues.
    • Focus on making connections and building your outreach strategy.
    • Smart Lead and Instantly connections are simple - just enter your API key.

We have more integrations coming soon to expand your connection options further.

Lesson 5 - How to Find Posts Using Keywords in Social Listening

Let's explore the Social Listening feature of Trigify. This feature is currently in beta mode and available to all users. Currently under development.

Social Listening allows you to collect post data in a different way than Engagement or Social Signals. Here's how it works:

  1. Database Searches - Find relevant conversations:
    • Search our database for specific keywords (like "sales" with 24,000+ mentions).
    • View recent posts mentioning your search terms.
    • See who's talking about topics relevant to your business.
    • Add interesting profiles directly to your engagement tracking.
  2. Understanding Volume and Keywords - Tips for effective searches:
    • Consider how people actually use terminology in their posts.
    • Social keywords differ from SEO keywords - they're more colloquial.
    • For example, "UGC" might have more mentions than "user generated content."
    • Lower volume searches might need adjusting to match how people naturally speak.
  3. Live Tracking - Actively monitor mentions:
    • Set up live tracking for important terms.
    • The system will continuously search for new posts with those keywords.
    • Track mentions of your brand, even when not directly tagged.
    • The number of terms you can track depends on your package.
  4. Practical Applications - How we use it:
    • We track mentions of "Trigify" when people don't tag our profile directly.
    • This helps catch conversations where we're mentioned but not formally tagged.
    • Connect this data to your integrations to push relevant posts to your workflow.

Social Listening is an evolving feature that we'll be expanding in the future. It's a great way to monitor relevant conversations and discover potential prospects or engagement opportunities.

Lesson 6 - How to Search for Influencers and Engagement by Keywords

Now that we've explored the other features of Trigify, let's dive into our Discover features - Topics and Thought Leaders. These search features allow you to utilize our database while you're waiting for your Signals and Engagement tracking to generate results.

Let's look at both features and how they can help you build targeted lists:

  1. Topics Feature - Find people engaging with specific topics:
    • Search for keywords relevant to your business (like "sales").
    • See thousands of people who've engaged with posts mentioning your keywords.
    • Filter by engagement frequency (e.g., engaged 4+ times in the last 30 days).
    • Narrow results by location, company size, industry, and more.
    • Remember to use colloquial terms as they appear on social media, not formal industry keywords.
  2. Thought Leaders Feature - Find people posting about specific topics:
    • Search for people who have posted about your keywords.
    • Filter by posting frequency and timeframe.
    • Evaluate potential thought leaders by follower count and average engagement.
    • Identify people who consistently post about topics relevant to your business.
    • Use this to find influencers or profiles to track in the Engagement feature.
  3. Building Custom Lists - Creating targeted collections:
    • Add search results to new or existing lists.
    • Name and describe your list based on criteria (e.g., "Topic Sales USA Small to Mid").
    • Access all your lists in the Lists section of the navigation bar.
    • Filter, enrich, and export these lists just like engagement data.
    • Use lists for outbound campaigns, nurturing, or prospecting.
  4. Practical Applications - How to use these features effectively:
    • Use Topics for building outbound campaign lists of engaged prospects.
    • Use Thought Leaders to identify potential engagement tracking profiles.
    • Evaluate influencers before reaching out for partnerships.
    • Segment lists by different topics, regions, or company sizes.
    • Create targeted lists while waiting for other features to generate data.

These Discover features give you an immediate way to start building lists and finding prospects while your tracking features gather data. We're working on making it easier to push Thought Leader profiles directly into Engagement tracking - currently, you'll need to copy the URLs manually.

On your dashboard, you can see all your custom lists with quick stats about their composition and easy access to each collection.

    • Assign admin or member roles with different responsibilities.
    • Users with the same email domain are typically added to the same organization automatically.
